A mommy makeover is a name for combining the complaints left after pregnancy, most often the tummy and the breasts, and each part is chosen one by one. It is a plan built for one body and not a fixed package, and it does not promise the body from before pregnancy.
A mommy makeover is a name for combining the complaints that remain after pregnancy in one plan, most often the tummy and the breasts. It is not a fixed package: each part is chosen one by one, and a part that does not suit the body is left out. Genital surgery is not added because the word was used; it would be a separate decision with its own reason. A later pregnancy can change a tummy repair, so plans for more children are asked early, and breastfeeding history is asked because it bears on the breasts. In Turkey the plan is built around what one body can carry in a single operation, not around a list of parts. The aim is a body that fits you better now, and the body before pregnancy is not promised.
Each part is planned on its own terms. The tummy may need skin removed, muscle tightened or only fat reduced, and the breasts may need a lift, a change of volume or nothing at all. These choices are made one by one and then fitted together in a single plan. How much is done in one sitting depends on the total time and on what your body can carry safely. When the list is long, the plan can be split into two trips, with the larger operation first.
A mommy makeover is considered when more than one area bothers you after pregnancy, usually a tummy that stayed loose and breasts that changed in size or position. Weight should have held steady for a while, and breastfeeding should be finished or well settled. Plans for another pregnancy are asked first, because a later pregnancy can change a tummy repair. Smoking, blood count and earlier operations on the tummy or breasts are asked before any plan is written. If only one area bothers you, that one operation is offered and you are not pushed toward more.
In the first days the tummy and breasts are swollen and tight, and the shape you see is not yet the result. A garment is worn for the first weeks, and short walks begin on the first day. Lifting a child, driving and sleeping on the stomach are limited until the surgeon allows them, so help at home is worth arranging before you travel. Scars sit where each operation was made and are explained plainly beforehand. This page is general information; your plan is settled after examination and a written quote.
At examination the surgeon looks at the tummy, the breasts, the old scars and the history of births, then asks about breastfeeding and about plans for more children. The written plan lists each part, the order, and which parts can be done in one session. The planned stay in Istanbul is 7–10 days following the largest operation, and two trips are sometimes safer than one long operation. Op. Dr. Ramazan Güler clears the flight home once swelling and the wounds allow it. If the plan is split, the second trip is set at the same visit.
