Buttock Implants in Turkey
A buttock implant adds volume with a silicone implant placed in the buttock when fat is not enough or a firmer projection is the aim. It is not a fat transfer, and it does not build the shape from your own fat.
A buttock implant is an operation that adds volume to the buttock with a silicone implant placed inside it. It is chosen when there is not enough fat to move, or when a firmer projection is the aim than fat alone gives. It is not a fat transfer, and no fat is moved from one area to another to build the shape. The implant is a firm object under the skin and does not behave like soft tissue, most of all when sitting. In Turkey the decision rests on how much volume is missing, on the thickness of the skin and tissue that will cover the implant, and on whether the person accepts living with an implant. The aim is a fuller, firmer outline, and no result is promised in advance.
What it addresses
In the operation an incision is made, a pocket is prepared in the buttock and a silicone implant is placed in it. The size and shape of the implant are chosen with the surgeon from the body, from the width of the hips and from how much tissue lies above the pocket, and not from a single number. This is an implant, not a fat transfer: nothing is moved from a donor area, and the operation does not change fat elsewhere. If a person also wants fat reduced in another area, that is a separate decision made at examination. The incision and the scar that follows it are marked and explained before the day of surgery.
Who it is considered for
A buttock implant is considered when the buttock is flat or small, when there is too little fat in the body to move, or when a firmer projection is wanted than fat gives. A person with enough fat who wants a soft, natural fullness is more often shown a fat transfer instead, which is a different operation. Skin, the thickness of tissue over the implant, earlier operations in the area, smoking and a steady weight are asked before a plan is built. Sitting for long periods and sport are discussed, since an implant is felt differently from fat. Expectations are set on the body, not on a photograph.
How the plan is made
In the first days the buttock is swollen and tight, and its shape is not yet the result. Sitting is limited and is explained step by step: how to rest on the thighs, how to lie, when a cushion helps and when direct sitting is allowed again. A garment is worn so the tissue lies flat while it settles. Walking in short stretches is encouraged, while strong effort and sport wait until the surgeon allows them. What the written plan settles
At examination the surgeon looks at the shape of the buttock, the tissue available to cover an implant and the volume that is missing. The size and shape of the implant, where it lies, how sitting is handled and how long the garment is worn are written at the same visit. The planned stay in Istanbul is 6–8 days. No. A buttock implant adds volume with a silicone implant, while a fat transfer moves your own fat from a donor area to the buttock. They are different operations with different limits. An implant does not need donor fat, and a fat transfer does not use an implant. The choice is made at examination, on the body.
An implant is considered when there is not enough fat to move, or when a firmer projection is the aim than fat gives. If there is plenty of fat and a softer fullness is wanted, a fat transfer may be the more suitable conversation. Both are explained at examination.
Sitting is explained before the operation. In the first days direct sitting is limited, and you are taught to rest on the thighs, to use a cushion and to lie on your side. The surgeon says when direct sitting returns, judged by the wound and the swelling. Pressure on the implant can strain healing.
The incision is planned before the operation and shown on the body. A line remains where it was made; it is not described as something that disappears. Its place and length depend on the implant and on your skin, and skin type changes scar quality.
An implant is firmer than fat and can be felt, most of all in a slim person with little tissue over it. How much is felt depends on the size of the implant, the thickness of the tissue that covers it and where it lies. This is checked at examination with the tissue in the hand, and it is discussed before the size is chosen.
The planned stay is 6–8 days. That time covers the operation, the first wound check, the garment and the sitting instructions. Swelling is not waited out in these days. The surgeon clears the flight home once the wounds allow it, and healing continues at home.
A photograph shows another body. The size and shape are chosen on your own body, from the width of the hips, the tissue and the volume that is missing. A larger implant is not always a fitting one, since tissue that is stretched too far can open or show the edge. The surgeon may advise a smaller size than the one you ask for.
